Eggs and rice

    This could be so so so much better.

    Crisp the rice in a pan with a light amount of oil, add some soy sauce early.

    Plate the rice.

    Now do a sunny side up fried egg. Use a lid to get the whites cooked on top with steam. Pull the lid when whites are to your liking, and let the edges of the eggs continue to crisp.

    Now put the eggs on top of the rice.

    Salt, pepper, hot sauce to your liking.

  5. Rice very boring and I prefer my poached eggs cooked in simmering water.

    If you cook the rice in a rice cooker, try adding a cored tomato on top of the rice. When the rice is done the tomato is going to be super soft and you can just mash and mix it with the rice, then add the soy sauce and maybe some diced green onions. You can try a little oyster sauce with a little chilli oil too. It goes great with pouched eggs 👌🏻

    Exactly what it says on the tin. The quintessence of eggs and rice, a meal so pure it is almost inbred.
